Coordinated with licensed local partners

Arranged before you arrive.

Booked by us, run by them.

How it works

You ask once. We make the calls.

Alpenlight does not drive the shuttle, teach the lesson, or cook the dinner. We book the licensed Big Sky people who do — the outfitters, chefs, shops and drivers — and we confirm the details in writing before you land.

Every experience below is arranged with a licensed local partner. Alpenlight coordinates; the partner operates.

Lift tickets, lessons, gear delivery

On the hill by nine.

We arrange your lift tickets through the resort so they are in hand before your first morning, and we book lessons through the resort’s ski school. Rental gear comes from a licensed local shop that fits your group and delivers to the house, instead of a counter line at 8am.

Send heights, weights, boot sizes and ability levels with your booking, and the shop delivers to the mudroom the night before you ski.

Licensed shuttle partners

Bozeman to the door.

We book your ride with licensed shuttle companies that drive the canyon all winter. It is about an hour from Bozeman Yellowstone International up Highway 191, and the Gallatin Canyon in a storm is not a road to meet for the first time in a rental car.

Send flight numbers when you book. We pass them to the shuttle company’s dispatch, so a delayed landing is watched by the people who track the board.

Licensed local chefs and caterers

Dinner, in your own kitchen.

For a birthday, a holiday table, or the night nobody wants to drive back down to the village, we arrange a licensed local chef or caterer to cook in the house. We make the introduction and the booking; the menu, the allergies and the headcount you settle with the chef directly.

Ask for Christmas, New Year’s and Presidents’ Day weeks as early as you can. We confirm the price in writing before anything is booked.

Snowmobiling, sleigh dinners, Yellowstone

The days you don’t ski.

Guided snowmobile days, horse-drawn sleigh dinners and winter Yellowstone tours are arranged with licensed local outfitters. Tell us the date and the number of people. We book it, and the pickup time goes on the note waiting for you at the house.

Winter Yellowstone is a full day. Tours run by snowcoach or guided snowmobile out of West Yellowstone, an hour south on 191, and they leave early.

Summer preview

Come back in July.

Fly fishing on the Gallatin with licensed outfitters, Yellowstone by car instead of snowcoach, trailheads a short drive from the house. Same arrangement, warmer months: you ask, we book, our partners run it.

Ask about summer while you are booking winter. We book it with the same licensed outfitters.

Arrive to a home already cared for.

Every request comes through Alpenlight. Ask before you arrive, or from the kitchen table on day two — Martin and Max answer the phone. We book it with the partner, confirm the time and the price in writing, and leave the details where you will find them: on the counter and in your inbox.

Ask us to arrange it

Requests made before arrival are the easiest to fill; we will still make the calls mid-stay. Alpenlight coordinates these experiences with vetted, licensed local partners — we do not provide transportation or food service ourselves.
